Mental Health Wellness

Mental Health Wellness is more than an idea. It should be a way of life. Protecting your mental health wellness should be a top priority; however life seems to have a way of throwing each of us very wild and unexpected curve balls.

What is mental health wellness? It is our emotional, psychological and social well-being which greatly impacts how we think, act and interact with others. Mental health wellness helps determine how we react to stressful situations, relate to those around us and our abilities to make good choices.


What are some preventative measures I can take to protect my mental health wellness?

  • Avoid toxic people along with toxic environments, if possible.

  • Establish a tool kit of breathing, grounding and relaxation techniques to help with stress management.

  • Establish a healthy bedtime routine.

  • Avoid screen time 2 hours before bed to help reduce mental effort.

  • Practice self care…such as massage therapy, exercise, balanced diet and restful sleep.

  • Use a mood journal to help track triggers of stress, depression or anxiety.
